Backup-as-a-Service (BaaS)

Are your backups prone to failure? Do they work?

If you don’t have an answer to these questions, you should consider outsourcing your backup needs and choose a Backup-as-a-Service (BaaS) offering.

BaaS is a great option for your businesses because it offers several benefits and can free up valuable resources, reduce costs, and improve data protection. BaaS takes away the headache of managing backups on-premises, which can be time-consuming, resource-intensive, and prone to errors and hardware failures.

BaaS is a reliable and efficient data protection solution that can adapt to your changing needs and ensure business continuity in the event of a disaster.

Why BaaS makes sense for you

Protection against data loss

BaaS provides you with an extra layer of protection against data loss due to accidental deletion, hardware failure, malware, or other data disasters. You have a copy of critical data in case of an unexpected event.

Increased data security

With BaaS, your data is backed up securely and encrypted in transit and at rest. This helps to prevent unauthorized access and data breaches.

Cost savings

BaaS can be a cost-effective solution because you do not need to invest in expensive hardware, software, or dedicated IT personnel to manage backups. You pay for the service on a subscription basis, which can be more affordable and predictable.

Improved business continuity

In case of a disaster, such as a fire or natural disaster, BaaS can help you get back up and running quickly by providing access to data from a secure offsite location.

Compliance requirements

Certain industries, such as healthcare and finance, have specific data retention requirements. BaaS can help by ensuring that backups are done regularly and kept for the required time period.

Where your data resides

On BMIT's public cloud

Backing up your virtual machines couldn’t be any easier if you’re already on our public cloud platform or are thinking of moving your data to it. We provide the license and storage required for the backups while you decide how many VMs you need to backup and when. Simple!

In our data centre

You have two backup options when you your hardware is co-located at any of BMIT’s data centres: Back up file systems and virtual machines to your own hardware or to an online storage provided by BMIT, presented as CIFS, NFS or iSCSI. We offer Veeam on a monthly licensing model or you can use your own backup solution.

On your premises

You can back up your servers, workstations and virtual machines with BMIT's backup-as-a-service, wherever they are located. Use our backup agents to back up the data on your servers and workstations to the Cloud or use Veeam Cloud Connect to connect your existing (or new) Veeam setup and take your backups off-site at BMIT's data centre. You save time and money when we maintain your off-site backup infrastructure.
