BMIT has been awarded the Microsoft Support Services designation under the Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Programme, becoming the first organisation in Malta to achieve this status. The designation recognises partners that have met Microsoft's most rigorous standards for technical architecture, cloud engineering capability, and customer success, and is held by only a small number of partners globally.
The accreditation adds to BMIT's existing Microsoft designation portfolio, which already includes the Azure, Modern Work, and Security designations. Together, these place BMIT among a select group of partners whose capabilities span the full breadth of Microsoft's enterprise cloud ecosystem.
The Support Services designation is not a commercial certification. It is awarded following third-party audits, technical evaluations, and engineering reviews conducted by Microsoft. Partners that carry it are formally validated to support Microsoft solutions at the highest tier and gain direct access to Microsoft's Tier-3 engineering teams, bypassing standard support queues. This means BMIT clients with complex or critical Microsoft infrastructure issues are routed directly to the engineers who build and maintain those platforms.
For BMIT's clients, the practical effect is faster resolution, reduced downtime risk, and a support capability that goes beyond what standard managed service providers can offer.
Nick Tonna, Chief Revenue and Growth Officer at BMIT Technologies, said: "This designation changes the conversation we have with clients. It is not a badge on a slide; it is Microsoft formally saying that our technical capability and our track record meet their highest standard. For businesses that run critical operations on Microsoft infrastructure, knowing their partner has been audited and validated at this level matters. It is a meaningful differentiator in the market."
That market-level validation is grounded in what the accreditation process actually demands.
Sean Cohen, Chief Service Delivery Officer at BMIT Technologies, added: "Earning this designation required a rigorous assessment by Microsoft's own engineering teams, who reviewed our support processes, technical capabilities, and operational readiness. The access it unlocks is genuinely different. When a client has a critical issue, we are not simply raising a ticket and waiting. We have a direct line to the people who built the platform. That translates into faster resolution times and a level of continuity assurance that is proven with the achievement of this designation."
BMIT Technologies continues to invest in expanding its Microsoft practice, with the Support Services designation representing the latest milestone in its alignment with Microsoft's enterprise roadmap.
