How do I maintain my existing Domain Name?

Yes, it is possible to make use of an existing domain without the need to transfer it to BMIT.

Simply:

• Enter the domain name in the ‘I will use my existing domain and update my nameservers only’ text box during sign up on our online store or via your control panel
• Make sure to update your nameservers
• Advice BMIT to approve this to start making use of your existing domain

It is important to note that by selecting this option you will host your domain on our DNS server, however you will need to take care of your domain name renewal as this will NOT be handled by BMIT.

Can I purchase a .MT via BMIT?

No, we do not sell .com.mt domain names. If you wish to purchase a .com.mt domain name please contact NIC-MT https://www.nic.org.mt/dotmt/

Once domain name has been purchased and approved, please follow normal existing domain name procedure, by:
